We are excited to be chartering with TMM again! Some may remember I was a "cooler person" back in the day, we would fill a soft sided polar bear with enough frozen meat//seafood to feed an army! This trip we are leaning towards doing all provisioning on island. They tell me the smaller Riteway is open next to the marina, convenient! We will also take time to hit the larger stores in town.
I would like to pre-order our heavy drink order in advance, I find Caribbean Cellars website shopping easy to navigate, but Tico's is not so user friendly, unless I'm not using it correctly?
Any provisioning tips are appreciated! we will be provisioning saturday late and sunday morning.

We carried a soft sided cooler filled with cool packs and mostly meat last week into the BVI. On the C&I electronic form we admitted to bringing in meat. I am not sure if the customs person saw that or just asked about the heavy bag. In any case we were questioned nicely about it, opened the cooler and showed it contents. We ended up having to pay tax, but were allowed to bring the contents into the BVI. We enjoyed (amongst other things from the cooler) an excellent steak dinner at JVD. Worth the weight and tax IMHO.
The rest of our stores came from Moorings provisioning, the French deli, or Rudy’s on JVD (very good).

This will be our first charter not bringing the cooler, might miss having some stuff but we'll make do. We have gotten really good at traveling with only carry on, even traveling abroad for weeks. We will plan a laundry day at Leverick if they still have machines.
Good to know Rudy's is still around!
Can anyone tell me a good online way to shop Tico's? i mentioned my attempt to navigate their site was not good

We have Moorings or Riteway deliver the heavy stuff and then send people out to get the lighter fresh stuff while I get the boat briefing. Free taxi from Riteway back
Ticos and French Deli right there by base...
We get many gallons of water....freeze some to use as ice int he coolers and then use for crew water bottles they bring
Restock at CGB (Bobbys), Anegada, Rudys (as mentioned), North Sound and VGYC
