We are at the airport now and have to say you have an incredible time after so many years away. First, the departure experience is fantastic very quick, especially if you have priority and carry-on.
Rented a Nissan SUV from Hertz it was great We stayed at LaPlaya on Orient Beach thought it was a good place for what we wanted to do which was just relax on the beach eat and drink. Easy walks to good am for coffee and croissants. Their sandwiches were excellent. Had two great meals at L’Atelier in village. Dinner at bistro carribes was excellent. Lunch at ocean 82 was fantastic as well. Yellow sub for drinks nightly.
Only issue was weather. Orient was super windy all five days. On tues it was worst and we went to cupecoy for first time. Made some notes for return trip like bringing a backpack cooler as a carry on. Club O yellow umbrellas ans Perch were highlight of trip. Planning trip back already
