Does anyone have a photo of Fort Burt marina's fuel dock? and any idea what time they open?
Our return day is going to be fairly tight, we will return to TMM promptly when they open. I have exchanged emails with TMM regarding this and they scheduled our taxi for 9am. Unfortunately, crew work schedules didn't allow for a final night in a hotel.
Our itinerary is slowly coming together, last night we decided to remove STJ since we were there a couple years ago. With that out of the way I can give the crew many more BVI options!
I saw Brent (Captains Compass) posted some diesel options in March, thanks for including phone numbers! On that list Leverick was down? Is N. Latitude on Jost open? I see Scrub is now an option!
Thanks .

The fuel dock in Cane Garden Bay is easy with good prices if this is an option in your itinerary. Have a good trip!

It used to be Village Key opened for fuel at 7am, so when we wanted to return the boat first thing, we'd moor in Great Harbor Peter Island, get up early to jump across the Channel, and make sure we were at the fuel dock at 7am. Just need to confirm that they still open at 7am.
I'd also make sure to strip the beds, etc, pack, get all the food stuff ready on the jump over or while fueling to make your 9am taxi. Its tight but can be done.
Keep Smiling!!!

Ahoy Captains, My experience is the Diesel Fuel Hose at Cane Garden Bay does not go all the way to the end of the outside of that dock. And not practical for a Charter Yacht to tie up inside the T of that dock. My experience is the Fuel Dock at Loose Mongoose has a controlling depth of less that 5 Feet. With following seas from prevailing Easterly Trade Winds and a Tidal Range of up to 18 Inches, Fuel and Water Service at the Loose Mongoose my not be practical for most Charter Yachts. Leverick Bay Dock has Diesel and Gasoline Fuel and Water Again.

I'll know more when I talk with TMM, but if Fort Burt isn't an option is Delta in RT still operating? I'll definitely check Village Key times. or if staying on Peter we can call to see what time they open? orrrrrrr last resort, I will ask what TMM charges to do the top off.
I just checked my journal from our last charter with gen/ac, In 9 days we consumed 60 gallons of diesel, averaging 7 gallons a day, we did have one evening with no generator though.
We do ready the boat the night prior, leaving just a few minor details in the morning. It's amazing how items migrate throughout the boat!!
less than 2 weeks to over think details like these ;-) and I hope my basic questions don't annoy, but after 7 years and an island infrastructure that has had a total rebuild, I would be kidding myself if I thought I could rely on my past experience. Thanks!

We usually charter with Conch, which is right next to Ft. Burt fuel dock. The dock hands always come out and take us to the fuel dock at Ft. Burt. Not sure about their hours, but last time was a Sunday morning around 9am and they weren't open yet. Maybe call them or Conch to find out the hours. 284-494-4200

Fyi, TMM just emailed this info...
Fort Burt Fuel Dock (conch charters) Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm/Sat 8-1pm – P: 284-544-2020
Village Cay Fuel Dock: Mon-Sun 7:30am-4:00pm – P: 284-494-2771
Nanny Cay Fuel Dock: Mon-Sun 7:30am-5:30pm – P: 284-394-2512
In addition, TMM will refuel for us for $100 plus cost of fuel.

I would spend the $100 refuleing fee as cheap stress reduction!

That's how I'm leaning! All it takes is one boat in front of us at 0730 to = stress! I do plan to top off after mid trip somewhere, just to see how we average this trip. RickG are you missing NOVA? ;-)
