Stinky sargasm! We had it almost ruin a trip in the Tulum area years back. I have never encountered it in the BVI's. We are chartering with Moorings out of Tortola for a week at the end of October. Is it expected that time of year?

Thank you,
Babs

It's worse when the waters are warmer. Wind and currents determine where it lands, and they can change overnight.

It’s normally fine in October. I have at least 20 October charters and it was never a issue.

Sargassum is usually gone by October.
