We're looking to book Barbados this December. We love sitting on the beach but cannot handle the sun too much anymore. I'm not seeing any resorts photos with many umbrellas or palapas.
Does anybody know of a resort or hotel with shade of any kind ( with chairs) .

Thanks so much .
Carol

It doesn't look like many people here know much about Barbados, and neither do I. Have you checked big resort chains, like Sandals, etc? Just a thought.

Hi Carol and Geoff
I know Barbados well. What type of resort or hotel are you looking for? Kids allowed or not allowed? No meals, breakfast, or all-inclusive? How much are you trying to spend per night? When you say December, do you mean all of December or part?
The sun is not the same anymore. It burns differently and feels hotter, so I do understand what you mean.

Fourth trip happening in March. Have not been there since 2010 but I do notice significant new developments with beach chair rentals as I browse https://www.insandoutsbarbados.com/.

Beside Accra Hotel there is a cluster of refreshment huts and I know that via Patricia we rented chairs.

Don't miss the Mac n Cheese at a Chefette!

The last time we went I actually checked a couple of beach umbrellas and left them behind in our VRBO for the next visitor. We like to take our umbrellas, cooler & blanket and explore. Bottom Bay, Foul Bay, Crane (turn left away from the resort beach), Cattlewash near Bathsheba will all give you unique beach experiences.
From what I have seen online many of these formerly deserted beaches now have some facilities.

After every Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF.
