Eighteen vehicles, mostly Safari buses were destroyed in an early morning fire in Lower Estates, Road Town. Cruise ship tours and school bus runs will be affected while the fire is investigated.More on BVI I net news...

One word is that one bus owner just landed a new contract and other owners were not happy..and an interesting comment mentioning one particular vendor on CGB..

The fleet was owned by Mr Michael Herbert who, according to Gov papers, was awarded the contract to transport school kids without the bid being put out to tender..interesting. Apparently the blaze was confined to the parking lot thanks to a water truck owner with Herbert complaining the fire truck didnt have the proper equipment to tackle the inferno ....Island life....There was no shortage of "Safari" buses in CGB yesterday jamming the roads..Mr Herbert was at the wheel of a Safari bus back in 2015 that caught fire and rolled down a hill hitting cars. This guy cant get a break!
