Hi all,
Anyone ever go here? We booked it for 7 nights in April at a great rate. Just curious if anyone has any feedback. Thanks in advance.

The resort itself is nice, and the beach is pretty, but it is on the windward side of the island, which means it can get a lot of sargassum when conditions are wrong. There is absolutely nothing else close by apart from the airport and Vieux Fort. The town has one main strip with little to offer visitors; it is not a tourist destination.
The main city (well, only real city) is Castries, and it, as well as the bulk of the resorts in Rodney Bay/Gros Islet, are at the opposite end of the island - over an hour's drive away.

If you plan on staying at the resort and enjoying the "all-in" then it is fine, but going anywhere interesting is going to be a long trip. The Pitons are worth visiting, and they are about halfway between the airport and Gros Islet. Despite being a small island, or perhaps because of that, the traffic can be horrible. It can take 1 hour to get from Castries to Gros Islet if you get the wrong time of day, and traversing the island north-south (there are only 2 roads that do that) means crossing the hills, and there will almost always be a traffic jam due to some overloaded truck that can't get past 2nd gear.

Thanks for the info! We are planning on just hunkering down at the AI. The kid and I may do a ATV tour but that would be the extent of it all. Appreciate the response.

Enjoy your stay. A trip to the Pitons is worth it (although climbing either one is a major effort); the mud baths are so-so, I was given a free excursion there so I did the trip. I don't know if they offer a boat trip to the Pitons but that would be more fun than a road trip.

Hi Beans
I have alot of friends who have been to Coconut Bay Resort and no one has ever been there and not loved it. The food is excellent and the service also. It's a beautiful and clean and fun place to be . Many people have recommended it to me but I don't like AI
