We will be hitting St. Vincent next month for a one way sail to Grenada. Was wondering about the beer options, brands?? Also, we were thinking about buying only cans for on the boat, so we can crush and save room. Are cans available in most brands? Thanks !!

The regular Hairoun isn't bad, the stuff in the gold cans is horrible, it's the higher strength one, even some of the boat boys didn't like it and a few cans hung around for a year on Skyelark

Drink all day at home, your friends worry about you; do it on vacation and they say "what a good time you're having". Save your friends needless worry, travel more!

Thanks Antigua. Found that site, and will have more than a few!! Was hoping to find a good lite beer to soak up in between some good heavier brews.

Just got back from vincy.
I also suggest trying hairoun pops. I loved cola and champagne or a bitters pop for upset tummies or ginger beer or... So many delicious options

Crazy canuxx

Hairoun has recently become available in cans. Carib is also available in cans in may places. If you end up having to buy bottles, there is normally a deposit on bottles. Probably not worth saving and returning for many charterers, but one could at least try to bag them separately and find a local who would return them. It's about the only form of recycling to be found in these islands.

I also just remembered that the Presidente beer (originally from the DR) one buys in the Windwards is brewed in St. Vincent. Both cans and bottles. If you do get stuck with bottles, keep in mind that bottles of Carib (and Hairoun too, I think) are 275 ml or a bit over 9 oz. The bottles of Presidente are a full 12 oz, so choose wisely when they are the same price at happy hour
