This is the first time back in about 15 years. How is the weather at that time? Who do you get a phone from? There must be so many changes. I've missed going, we are now in our 70 but we are going with our daughter and son-in-law and our grandkids 10 year old girls.

We almost always go in November and going this year in November.. other than last year (torrential flooding over 1 day) ..the weather is always great..may have a spot shower here or there. We have gone in January, March, and May and I prefer the fall .

I don't know if you driving or taking a cab but the 'new' causeway bridge (couple years old) right at the end of the runway may make navigation/driving easier and faster depending on where you are staying on the island.

You will have a wonderful time with your family. There are many changes over the last 15 years, but this is still our favorite island and we will be there in November too. Rent a car and tour around as there is lots to see and do. As others have said, Sharon Harris can supply a phone, Jeannie from Shop n Drop can supply your groceries and there will be lots of sunshine in November!

Shhh!! Let's not let the secret out.!! but IMO, this is the BEST time to go. End of hurricane season, just before the holiday season, so less people are traveling, equals less crowds, and great weather. We arrive on the 14th also, for 2 wks. Cant wait

Hurricane Lenny " wrong way Lenny" Nov 19, 1999 second strongest Nov hurricane on record. Unusual but possibly a problem. Official end of hurricane season is Nov 30. We arrived Dec and the island was devastated for months.

Will never forget "wrong way Lenny", spent the whole vacation with him in the BVI. Although they did not get hit as bad as SXM but I would never want to go through that again!! Think trip insurance during hurricane season, you never know.

We actually were on St John for 'wrong way Lenny'. Got flown out a day early ahead of the storm and St. John had very little damage. Eric and I ended up on different planes, which was a tad nervewracking,, but it all worked out..
