My personal favorite is to stay on the dock at Leverick for 2 nights. This gives everyone the ability to come and go as they please. Between renting a car to see the Baths and VG vistas, the pool, restaurants, laundry, shopping, etc at Leverick it's easy to spend 2 days.
If you want a fun trip for a few hours, run the dinghy over to the Sandbox. My groups have always had a great time hanging out there and chillin on the beach.
Cheers!

What we love about two nights at Leverick is that we can get a rental car the day we arrive, go out to dinner and then use the car the next morning for the Baths, copper mine point, hog heaven..etc.. lots to see on Virgin Gorda.

One night at LB and one on a ball at Saba/BEYC. Do the hike at BEYC for some great views. Happy Hour and Tarpon feeding at Saba. If you do Saba/BEYC first then it's an easy ride over to LB the next day with plenty of time to rent a car or taxi a taxi around VG. We had a driver in a safari truck take 9 of us to the baths and then a VG pub crawl on the way back last time...had a blast!

mbearden said: Thanks much for the input! Still not sure the plan but always good to get opinions from the group! My vote is also for two nights at Leverick for the same reasons. However, unless I missed it, I didn't see anyone mention the water taxi that'll take you from Leverick to most everywhere in the North Sound for free. (now, someone may want to chime in....as I remember it we could go most anywhere and it was free....if that memory was fogged due to rum I hereby void this post! )

That is a big difference!
I'd probably make a decision based on what you want to do during the day and see what fits.
If you've never toured Virgin Gorda by car, do that. If you have, then try something different.
And if the goal of spending two nights in the north sound is to slow things down, that can also be done very nicely in other spots. We've often spent a couple nights at Norman (swapping anchorages there each night) and spent time at the Indian's, caves..etc. We just moved over to a nearby spot for the day and then back for the night. It was very relaxing.

WayneC said: We enjoyed the North Sound for two nights on our trip in May. We stayed at Leverick the first night swam and enjoyed the restaurant and meeting other TTOL'ers Kim and Bridget. The next morning we rented a car for a trip to the Baths, that was very good advice I picked up from this site. That afternoon when we got back from the Baths we went over to Saba Rock for fish feeding and dinner. The ride to Saba via dingy from Leverick seemed a little far because we had to little ones with us so we got a ball. No matter how you cut it we all enjoyed the two day stay at the NS. I would advise anyone to make a two day affair there. Our next trip (Hopefully next June) we will do the same thing and figure on two days at Anegada and Cooper and JVD and !!! I don't think two weeks is enough time to do it all!! Guess we'll have to come back again! It was a pleasure to meet you Wayne...and your grand kids are adorable...bet they had a trip of a lifetime
