Yes, that is definitely possible. We have given tours of the entire island to friends visiting on cruise ships. We always stopped for lunch in Grand Case and continued our tour returning to the ship around 4 P.M.You can rent a car near the terminal or hire a tour operator to take you around.

Featherdance--What you state is definitely doable, yes. However, it appears that you have never been to SXM before. My advice to you is to rent a taxi tour for the day. It will probably cost you north of $100 for the day, but you won't get lost and potentially miss your ship, and you will be able to go directly where you want, and you won't have to worry about having a few adult drinks on the way. Renting a car takes a lot of extra time on both ends, and when you are not familiar with the territory at all and if you are late and miss the ship, it could cost you a LOT! of money..

As someone else suggested, just contact TTOL sponsor Wilfred Brooks ahead of time and let him know where you want to go and he will meet you at the ship, and take care of everything.

As I said, I figure it will definitely be over $100. You could contact Wilfred Brooks by phone and ask him for a quote. He has a US phone.

Good for you! I think you'll enjoy him and it will be a much more relaxing time than trying to get around on your own, when you need to worry about getting back to the ship on time.
