With this being our 12 or so trip (lost count) to the island, we visited all the usual places that get talked about. We did find a couple new things to share:

We have stayed many different places all over the island. This time we used the "Summer Special" at Mary's Boon". The special included a welcome drink, breakfast everyday, dinner for 2 one night, and a bottle of champagne. We just loved staying here. All the staff were friendly and it is truly a relaxing place to stay. We will definitely take advantage of that again.

We found a great and unique beach/lounge called Karakter (www.karakterbeach.com) on Simpson Bay Beach right next to Mary's Boon. This is a must visit! They have a lunch and tapas menu and the food is wonderful. On our first visit we tried a combo tapas of bacon wrapped dates (soooo good) and calimari with wine & mojito's. On our second visit we had to have more of the same plus the gazpacho which hit the spot on a hot day. The owners spent over a year outfitting an old school bus for their kitchen, they have a covered area with tables, lounge chairs/umbrellas on the beach. This is deserves a visit!

Happy Bay - we discovered Danny (not the one from Cupecoy) has set up here. He has ribs, chicken, johnny cakes, beer & rum punch. On our first visit tried the ribs and let him know we were coming back in a day or two. He had delicious shrimp for us! When the cruise ships are in the Rhino Riders come here in hoards. But when no ships are in it is quiet and wonderful as usual. Our favorite spot.

Weather was good except for 1 day it did rain all day. Mostly had showers at night and it was a little more windy than usual with all the storms out there.

Was a great trip as usual and cannot wait to go back!
