Any suggestions for snorkeling in front of Grand Case Beach Club and at Happy Bay will certainly be appreciated.

I have snorkeled out front on the quiet side and I saw some large fish and a huge starfish. You are right near Creole rock and they have boat excursions that go there for serious snorkeling.

Mostly I am wondering if there is any good snorkeling at either or both locations; and where (ie. north end, south end, middle, etc.).

Suggested snorkling locations

At Grand Case Beach Club, the best snorkeling from the beach is around the point the Sunset Cafe is on. Easy access into and out of the water from either side.
Happy Bay has very little snorkeling except to the right, facing the water, around the rock point.
You can get a boat to take you out to Creole Rock, just don't go ashore on Creole! Coral is coming back out there and there are turtles in the sea grass.

Yes along the rocks at Mullet and a little at Divi but you have to go far out.

"The coral is coming back out there", so nice to hear that. Now, if snorklers, all over the Caribbean/world would practise that, many of the coral beds, which have been destroyed by people standing on the reefs or breaking off a souvenir might come back in 50 years.

as a diver, Creole Rock is completely bleached. There was a lot of sea life, but the coral was sad.

Exactly. It takes many, many years (around 100)for the coral to grow 1 inch, so the term "coming back" probably means "not in our lifetime". People looking for a "souvenir" don't realize the long term damage they are doing to the reef system. If only they would take pictures instead of shells or coral.

Exactly and what angers us, it doesn't matter which island you visit, you will always find a local selling fresh coral on the roadside.

It is a sad global phenomena...the new norm.
