Wash 2 cups strawberries and pat dry.
Chop 2 T pecans and press in bottom of unbaked pie crust. Bake crust according to directions. Cool.
Mix 1 cup sugar, 2T cornstarch and 1 cup hot water. Cook until thick and clear. Approximately 5 minutes. Cool.
Mix 3 T strawberry jello with 2 T hot water. Cool and add 1 t vanilla flavoring.
Mix sugar and cornstarch mix with jello mix. Fold in whole berries. Cool several hours before cutting.
