Leave for a few months and many things change. My trepidation about the Restaurant at Leverick Bay was totally unfounded as noted in a previous post. New Chef Stanley brought it to even greater heights. So when I suggested that Nick, Monica, Andy and Bruce accompany Terry and myself to Coco Maya again I felt I was risking a letdown. Wow was I wrong. Their new chef rose to the occasion of replacing Stevie, added some new items and instilled an even greater aura of great service. The six of us tried to sample the entire menu and I imagine got thru close to half. Not one dish was a letdown. Now again I have two Superior restaurants on VG. Pricey if you drink great wine and worth every cent.. Then last night we visited the newly sold/purchased Dove, our perennial go to on Tortola. Hard to replace chef Travis but THEY DID in great fashion. The new items were a breath of fresh air as well as scrumptious. Absolute success. Stay tuned for reports on the new Sugar Mill, Fantasia, and Lambert Bay Restaurant. Also heard that the Clubhouse's Paul Mason took over Marina Cay. See you soon Paul.

That's great to hear. Where is Fantasia? Never heard of it.

I don't believe that this is true. A former employee of Paul's told me that he is Food & Bev Mgr for all of Pusser's. His wife Cindy is working at Marina Cay (not sure in what position, but I think the hotel part, not the restaurant part), and they are living on island.

That would be even better for Pussers. I'll be on island snooping for a few weeks and will report back. When I hook up with KAREN I'll bet she will have some input.

Yes, it is true. Paul Mason is the Food and Beverage Manager for all of Pussers and Cindy is managing Marina Cay. Hopefully they will be able to breath in some new life to the Pussers family.

The intrepid "Karen" (onetime bartender at The Clubhouse) has left Fantasia By Giorgio which is located on Main Street where the old Roti Palace used to be. She is now working at Sebastian's By The Sea in West End with chef Victor who previously was the chef at the old Jolly Roger ... and several other places. I must say, it is a very welcome change for Sebastians. They scored two great folks there!

Very good news for Sebastian's! Always loved the location but the restaurant was a little lackluster.

Karen is also working at Aromas, the new cigar bar at the cruise ship pier.

As the fabulous "Temptations" sang:
" People moving out..people moving in"
Reminds me of working in TV in Hollywood..

Ain't it the truth. For years I had not been to Brandywine until we met some friends there for dinner our last night down a couple weeks ago. It was packed on a Wednesday night and everything we had was GREAT....and we had a lot! smile It is great to hear that though things change, often things also work out.

Just spoke with Karen and she's just waiting on her permit to begin working at Sebastian's. So, that's great news! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

I second your thoughts on both restaurants. We ate at Coco Maya on Feb 11 and Leverick on the 17th (I think) and both were very, very good meals. Our group of 5 can be pretty tough customers as we enjoy great food and restaurants and it takes a lot to please all of us.

Hey Nick - glad I didn't hold my breath waiting on FedEx for that circuit board! That hob worked pretty good, keep it on hand.
