It is so unfair that the US water taxis can't take their passengers to their final destinations. However, the BVI water taxis can pick up in the US and take their passengers to the final location. Now to be clear I would not be frustrated by this except that the BVI water taxis are unreliable and frankly rude in their service.
I had planned to keep our boat in Nanny Cay during the season but due to these problems we opted to use a marina in St Thomas. For us it is easier to fly into STT and take a cab to Sapphire Beach rather than fight the ferry schedule and water taxi wars. I just want to get to my sail boat I don't give a shi$ about the politics of the BVI and their taxi monopolies.
What ever happened to the needs of the customer?

Actually I have never known the 4:30 to leave before 5:00.

Good question - we discussed whether they could drop us off at the boat after C&I and they did not say no but rather there was a pretty fresh breeze that day (25kts) and we took their smaller tender so it was a pretty lively ride and Glen suggested that rather than slug it another 30-40+ into the wind that a dry taxi would be waiting to take us the rest of the way in less time....in hindsight wondering if they couldve???
