I believe there was an Italian restaurant located along the marina area (near The Stone) several years ago called Il Capriccio (?) Food was so-so but the location was great on the water. Is there anything at that location now?

If it's the old "Pelican Steak House" that area is all torn up and under construction

And after that, El Gaucho was there for a while, I think? I read here that supposedly they were going to be putting in a Mexican restaurant there.

Anyone know anything about the Italian restaurant at SBR next to the casino? Every time we went by this year it seemed pretty full...way more than years past. Just curious if any good. Think it is called Isola?

There was a recent discussion about Isola and from what I recall, the poster enjoyed it. Friends ate there this year and enjoyed it. I have been there twice and while it was ok, there are other places I would prefer to go but that is just me.

We really enjoyed it. They had 2 musicians that were excellent.

On a previous trip to SXM we ate at the L'Isola. The service and the food were unacceptable; we will not dine there again - there are too many fine, outstanding restaurants in SXM.
