Georgia, thanks for that info about the size of can. I should have read the narrative preceeding the recipe as she said when to put the lentils in then. Supposed to put them in along with the water there were in (which I did not so that would be why it is thick) after cooking the other stuff up for 25 mins of so. I added about a cup of chicken broth that I had in the fridge. Also a lot of salt and fresh ground pepper and I doubled the spices and hot sauce. And then the lime juice and cilantro were added what a difference that all made. I just finished a cup of it and I'm pleased with it after the changes I made. It was too bland for me at first.
