Thx for the explanation and not to pursue this any longer but you mentioned Euros. I only travel with dollars...so, lets use your example please. The bill comes to 40 euros but they automatically convert that to $48.00 when they hand it to me. as I state I am paying in dollars. Leave $50.00, $55.00. What would be sufficient and correct? TIA
