Glad to see you made the best of it and got the training you wanted.

I was left with one question after reading it though... Does beerman and family do dishes?!?

Thanks for sharing a great honest report, any photo's? I'd like to see if the drama queen matches my mental picture Sounds like that couple should have booked a crewed charter, but the captain really should have been clear and direct on crew responsibilities. I wrote about my experience with the ARC Bahama last year, I left out some details because the crew member would be reading it, but this guy would not lift a finger to cook, make coffee offer a simple snack when coming up top, I could feel my boiling point happening so I had the captain explain the crew responsibilities again. Days went by and this knuckle head continued to sit or steer, quickly saying "yes please" when coffee was being offered from below. One morning while I was sponging sea water off the sole, after doing my umpteenth engine check, I finally had an opportunity to speak with the man alone, after our talk he would finally be seen cleaning the head and doing the dishes for the first time after several days on the water, putz!

Now Matt......I promise to help with the dishes, I promise to keep ice on the beer! I promise to help cook up some great meals, most importantly I promise to arrive with a helpful crew that will know their responsibilities HOWEVER.... just don't expect to much help with those diapers!!
