From what I recall, Uncle Harry's boiled their lobster. Not sure if it was totally boiled or just started out that way and then grilled but I am sure I recall seeing large pots with lobsters going in them.
Personally, I would think boiling would do more to inhibit the taste than grilling. With enough boiling you can make any meat tender (parboiled ribs) but you also boil out a lot of taste. A PROPERLY slow-grilled lobster with butter and seasoning sounds pretty good!
