Have never done on SXM. What is best to visit--Anguilla, Tintamare, Prickly Pear-- to see, accommodations, food, length of outing, etc.? There are so many to choose from.

Seems we can take the ferry to Pinel for short money and short or long time!??

If you have never been to Pinel it is a nice place to start. You can choose how long you wish to stay. There is hiking, snorkeling, or just relaxing. Food and drinks are available . I find the water to be the best part. Beautiful, shallow and easy to get in and out of the water.

Over the years we've done most of the near island boat trips along with around the island sails and lastly, stay-over visits to Anguilla, Saba and St. kitts. My personal favorite is Saba but anyone doing a stay-over there needs to know it's a very quiet island with no beaches at all for most of every year. It's beautiful and it's primary lure is mostly to divers but if you just want a place to chill and do some serious liming, it's a great place to experience and it's also a photographers dream. The hiking is great, too, if that's your pleasure. If you're looking for bar hopping and/or partying, IMO, this island is definitely not a good fit.

Any of the catamaran trips from this company are great. Take a look at www.stmaartin-activities.com

We did our first day sail last Monday on Celine Too with captain Neil. Was a wonderful day. Breakfast was served before leaving the dock. We left from the lagoon through the French side bridge and sailed to Tintemarre where we stopped for 3 hours. Swimming, snorkling. Chairs and umbrellas were set up on the beach for those who wanted them and then lunch was prepared fresh on the boat and served at 1.30. We then slowly sailed back with a stop at Happy Bay then back through the French bridge again just as the sun was setting. Open bar all day.

So glad you enjoyed it Maureen. We love sailing with Neil! The food, service and everything makes for a very enjoyable day. We thought of you all on Monday and really wished we were there.

I'd prefer monday, but sounds like Friday when we're there next week...oh well. Is it easy on, off in, out of water?
