O Plongeoir, just past the West Indies Mall. Great food - this is where many French locals eat.

Tropicana is excellent for lunch & dinner. I've only ever had breakfast at La Croissanterie, but based on reviews we've got to try it for lunch, also. Best croissants.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

I don't remember the water coming right up to the restaurant but I do recall how much different the area was prior to the dredging and filling in of the harbor and the creation of the seawall there. Back in the late 70's or early 80's there was already a narrow paved road with parking along it on the water side as I remember it so it had to be before then. I do recall taking the girls there in 1983, the first year of their visits and the road was already there and the market area had plenty of room for stalls and shoppers. The fishermen used to bring their boats right up to the waters edge and sell their fish from the boat to the people along the water side. I think the major Marigot changes might have taken place in the late 80s or very early 90s but I'm not too sure exactly when they happened. They did seem to come in tandem with the filming of the cruise ship movie that was partially filmed there. And then again, my memory could be faulty.
