To get my wife comfortable to go co we took a trip to Pinel Island. Honey I said let's go to the other side no one will know us. We being from RI were quite sure we will not know anyone. So we are where both co and along comes a couple. After a hello. Hey were are you two from? You guess it Newport, R.I. That,s my story can you top that?

Can't top it but would like to tell of our first at Orient. We were staying at LeGalion before it was destroyed by hurricane. Saw many people walk toward a "cow=path" at the far end of beach so we thought we'd follow. It open-end up to a fantastic view of St Barts.

"Wow! This is great", said hubby. The man who had passed us on the trail remarked that it truly was and asked if we'd be joining him. I turned to see a totally naked man next to me. Further down the beach was a spotting of people (no crowd). We'd discovered the nude beach without looking for it.

Alas lots of building now in the area. Back then not even Club O was there. Just pristine beach water and naturalists.

The very first time we went to Club Orient for the day (circa 1987), I had to use the ladies room. I was really freaked out because I couldn't figure out which one was which, as there was no sign!

Ok ... so about heading down in Oct for our 3rd trip and looking for new places Several folks on the thread mention LaGalion but sort of in the past. Are there paths there now from Orient and if so, is it worth the walk or visit? Looks like we could drive there past the Butterly Farm.

We drove past the Butterfly Farm last year. The road rutted road appeared to dead end, but we were still approached by two young ladies who tried to set us up with a time share sales appointment.

Years ago we took the small catamaran ride out to Green Key for the day. They dropped us off and would pick us up a few hours later. We brought a cooler with subs and beer and put a little sheet out on the little beach to lay on. When we started to eat our subs, we heard this noise behind us. It was like clap clap clap. When we turned around, there were so many crabs climbing down our way drawn by the smell of the food!!!! OMG, it was crazy!!!, We threw a part of a sub so far to the end of the beach area to draw them over, and quickly ate our food. That was 20+ years ago!

Yes, you can walk there from Club O. There is a trail behind the watersports building. It goes through the bush and through an opening in the fence. Once through the fence it is very easy to see where to go and it is an easy walk.

Someone said that the area past the fence is still Club O property and that it is technically CO. But I don't know that for sure. I do know that La Galion is not CO so you will want to be dressed once in site of that area as a courtesy to the people at La Galion

You can walk through the rock wall behind Papagayo and there are some nice scenic walking paths that head towards Le Galion. I'm thinking you can get there, as the couple of clothed people seemed to be coming from that direction, and there was some sort of extreme exercise equipment near the parking lot that someone was using. P/S the beach looked nice, and extremely calm waters.

Make sure to wear water shoes or something to protect your feet. It's very rocky. And bring bug repellent.

Speaking of Orient, has anyone seen the Legend lately? He must be ancient by now. I remember seeing him from a distance standing up reading a book and wondered why he didn't relax and sit. Then when I got closer I realized he was showing off.

Funny, but I seem to recall that in every picture I've seen of him, he has the same book. Maybe he really doesn't read it, just uses it for shade?

Here is another funny one. My friend put his gold bathing suit on a big rock then went in the water. A big way can crashing in and took the bathing suit in the ocean. Come to find out "There was a hundred dollar bill in the pocket".
Happened at the Cupecoy Beach. So for the next hour or so we saw him on the cliffs trying to spot his suit.

We were walking Orient Beach a couple of years ago & met people we knew from home. Next day we were sitting in our chairs at club o & turned around & that couple was in the row behind us. Embarrassed at first & then oh well here we are enjoying life while we can. We didn't talk about it when we met back home.

On our first trip to Club Orient, my wife and I were dancing at Papagayo's one evening. On our way back to our table, another couple that we passed complimented us on our dancing. We thanked them and said "Where are you from"? They replied, "New York". Oh, where in New York? They said "Upstate New York". "OH", we replied, "where in upstate New York?". "A little town called Ballston Spa. No one has heard of it". They told us their address and I said: "you are two miles from my house.". We and other friends had numerous Club O reunion parties at their house which had a lot of privacy.

Well, I just find it incredibly funny that there is a dressing room at the Club O shop, into which nude people go in order to try on clothes...

One of the first times I was on OB (textile portion), I saw two fellows walking down the beach wearing nothing but a mask and snorkel on their heads and carrying a set of fins. I doubt I would have even noticed them if it hadn't been for that!

One late afternoon, quite a few years ago, we were having a cocktail and listening to some lively music at Pedro's on Orient Beach.

In came some folks who decided to get a drink before grabbing a taxi, probably back to the cruise terminal. We had seen them on the CO Club Orient beach drinking and having a great time but they all had full swimsuits on.

Well the beat of the music and the alcohol kicked in for one of the ladies. She got up and started dancing with some very provocative moves. Before anyone knew it, all of her textiles were flung off while the crowd and her cruise ship friends cheered her on. The only one not cheering was her man, who was seeming quite annoyed. The lady was still laughing and whooping as her man proceeded to carry her out. Must have been a fun taxi ride back...
