Judging from places on other islands that started last fall, give it a year or more.

I spent my money on booze, broads, and boats...the rest I wasted.

Does his land on VG happen to include an executive golf course?

who is this new owner? I looked at Forbe's list of billionaires but not one stood out as connected to the BVI.

According to a prior owner of a part of Euatatia, land beneath the Saba Rock resort was originally part of the Eustatia Island property, and leased out. Not sure how that all transferred when the current owners of,the island took over. Anyone hear from David B lately?

We are in the North Sound now and have learned Saba will reopen and continue to be public.

We were thrilled to see a barge with 5 dump trucks full of boulders pull up to Saba and dump them. The barge left and returned again with 3 more trucks. They are reinforcing the island and will have to rebuild the helicopter pad since it was destroyed in the storm.

Ingrid and Peter are doing well.

I have some video of Saba from Tuesday but will have to upload later.

I'm thrilled to see progress!

Annoddddd- thank you for the update...do you know when they are hoping to reopen? Nice to hear from someone who is actually seeing the work being done.

They said "soon" and laughed about that. Hopefully next sailing season.

There are workers on island and they appeared to be doing work in one of the upstairs suites. We also saw 2x4's in a pile near the Moorings office. Don't know if those were recovered or new.

I've posted pics on Facebook in the "BVI Abroad - Hurricane Irma" page.
