(I first posted this in Nude forum but not no replies.) During our last visit we stayed at Club Fantistico and enjoyed it immensely. We particularly liked their expansive patio, pool and hot tub setup as well as Theirry & Chloe.

I've become aware of Residence Adam & Eve as an alternative and the only reason I'm considering it is due to price, as they are a little more than half that for Club F.

Has anyone been to both places and able to provide a comparison? My main question about Adam & Eve is what kind of view is there towards the sea? We loved the view at Club F but it doesn't appear Adam & Eve has something similar. I'm also interested in how each place fared with Irma, relative to trees down and ongoing construction nearby.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Will be watching this thread closely, as we are in the same boat as you. We have stayed at Club F on our past two visits, and love it there, but just can't afford the new rates. We are looking at Adam and Eve as well as some other non c/o places.

Thanks for posting, I look forward to reading the replies.

Wow just looked at the Club F rates. I couldn’t find the A/I rates with dinner.

Yeah, if money wasn't an issue, we'd stay there again in a minute. Looks like the rate is 350/nt plus 9% tax which includes bar and breakfast. They no longer offer an option for just lodging, which is what we opted to do when we stayed there. Such a bummer for us....

I have not stayed at either place, but I did attend a lobster dinner at Adam et Eve in June (when there were no guests). There is no ocean view, but I thought the property was lovely. We were given a tour of the whole facility. Rooms were spacious and appeared to be well equipped. I don't know if this is AI, but Willie, the general manager of the place, is an excellent chef and also makes his own ice cream. The property itself appeared quite lush, even in June.

And we're going in February so it is $455-490. Booked air travel yesterday at $454 roundtrip nonstop on Delta from JFK. Fare could have been $288 if we came back two days earlier (Thursday vs. Saturday).

Thanks for the pictures Linda...very nice! I checked the rates at A & E for our dates and it comes out to about 200 per night...not bad.

Did you happen to notice if they have an outdoor shower at A & E? May sound silly, but we absolutely love the outdoor showers at Club F.....a wonderful amenity we thoroughly enjoyed. Club F is the only place we have ever stayed that has had one.

We are also looking at Palm Court and Esmerelda for our upcoming stay...just trying to gather as much info as I can before we actually book.

Oh, one thing I did notice is that A & E will charge your card at the time of booking, not after your stay like most other places.

It is a lovely and lush place, and yes, they have an outdoor shower. It is not AI, and we were only charged a deposit when we booked.

Nice surroundings and furnishings but that green algae in the pool is a real turn off. Doesn't take much to maintain healthy pool water. And no, that is not a green reflection either.

Scubaman--in the heat of the Caribbean, it can sometimes take only two days for a pool to show algae. I think the place looks lovely.

Not true. I have an inground pool and in August our temps reach 90 to 100 with all day baking sun hitting it. With proper maintenance with pool chemicals I have never had a problem like that. If you ignore it you'll for sure get a large growth of green algae on the sides. That growth shown in the picture has been growing for quite some time. It usually shows up in a very small area and easy to cure before it gets that large.

Scubaman, it would be wonderful if you could share your intelligence, without the attitude. Thanks.

No attitude. I just shared my intelligence about pool upkeep. Have a nice day.

We were planning on booking a room there in April, but are now hesitant based on the previous comment about the poor pool maintenance. It certainly has that appearance in their website pics. Is anyone able to comment on this who has stayed there recently?

Honestly, as a person who lives in an area where we have to maintain our pool year round, stuff happens! Dump a bunch of chlorine in it and it's fine...

I guess my advice on pool maintenance wasn't appreciated by you and was deleted. To bad as I thought it was a very informative bit of information as a pool owner that showed more was involved than just dumping a bunch of chlorine to cure it.

I have deleted nothing. I have no idea what you're talking about. There is a previous response by you in this thread. As I said, we maintain a pool year round.

As do I and every now and then the walls will start to turn yellow. When that happens I brush the walls, give the filter a cleaning and then check the salt level and the chemicals. It usually means either my salt level is too low or the salt generator percentage had to be increased.

I am very interested in the original topic of Club Fantastico vs Adam and Eve. Would anyone else have thoughts and opinions on their experiences at these locations? And I'm not seeking pool information....Thanks very much!

Book directly with resort through their website. And the pool water was crystal clear.

Well, as the OP I'll be able to offer some thoughts and opinions after staying at Adam & Eve in February. I've booked us for eight nights and then we're off to Anguilla for another two nights. Got a nice little condo in Shoal Bay for a little under $500 per night after cleaning and airbnb fees (a bargain by Anguilla standards). Glad we saved some money by staying at Adam & Eve but I will miss those Orient Bay views at Club F. We are looking forward to staying at a new to us nudist place, though.

Not sure on the elevation at A&E but I don’t think I could do the walk to OB from Club F. Maybe to but not home. Definitely not after dinner.

I know this is an old thread but......Having stayed at A&E I can assure you all that the pool looks greenish in the pictures because......the bottom of the pool is painted green.

How can that be? Scubaman said it was algae. I have a pool that looks the same due to a green liner but clearly he knows what he's talking about.

My pool is a white gunite that reflects a blue color but will have that same green look when algae is present. That picture shown was definitely algae.
