Is there still a Dutch side connection for the AXA ferry? If yes, that would be my choice.

OK, maybe I'm wrong, but isn't the Great Bay Express or whatever, right across the street from the airport now? You have the one that leaves from Marigot and then there is the more expensive one that leaves from right around the airport somewhere. If it were ME and going straight to Anguilla, that's what I would do, versus taking a taxi to Marigot and then the ferry from there.

It's definitely more expensive than the route from Marigot, but for a direct transfer to Anguilla, that's the route I would go. I don't actually know if the GB Express is the ONLY one from the airport area or not.

While it was a while ago, we've done the GB Express trip from the airport area and it was simple and seamless. They handled our bags on and off the boat and right up to the immigration office at Blowing Point. The boat is fast and the staff very caring. I usually don't have any issues on the water but the day we crossed to AXA it was very rough and I guess they saw I was feeling the weather. They were very solicitous, offering me both bottled water and wristbands to help the situation.

There are 2-3 ferries that leave from there but GB Express is the only one I have personal experience with. More expensive than the public ferry but it is very convenient and they have always done a great job. Good luck.

Yes, I thought you initially were flying into AXA.

I have used both over the years and never experienced such an issue. In fact, a time or two the public ferry ended up leaving on "island time" as they were not full and waited to try and get a few more passengers. I will agree the public ferry is more economical but people will pay for convenience and comfort.
