What's the latest situation on STT? We are scheduled to fly in on 5/20 for a wedding. Will STT be open to visitors by then? St Thomas is starting to slowly shift from the quarantine mentality to getting back to work, some private schools will be opening the beginning of May. We’ll have a better idea the first week of May.

Currently only one Stateside air flight service a day -- the AA from Miami landing mid afternoon. NO other airline has service to STT from the mainland. I certainly doubt the airlines will be in a rush to start scheduling flights and May 20 seems like that would be rushing it. You can read the Governors Facebook page - for current info -- open to all. https://stthomassource.com/https://www.facebook.com/GovernmentHouseUSVI/?__tn__=%2Cd%2CP-R&eid=ARDZ93AFMW-Of14qV4PUuOr4EjRqXC7lUnOnc2XjlQ705eVpKOQ8cOLoAaIhEHaB2DAufsgR0W2EJS45

I just went on Delta.com and our flights have been cancelled. They didn't even send me any sort of notification. Guess they are kinda busy. We were going down on 5/20 and home on 6/1. Wedding "postponed"... Thanks for all the info. We'll go later this year when things calm down or next Spring.

We just got notified by Delta our May 3 flight was cancelled...I had already changed the flights the day before... I'm checking our flights twice daily because they are consolidating and cancelling so many daily...Delta has pulled out of CUN and other areas for the month of May and others are obviously heavily downsizing...

Yeah, not sure September is the best time to plan a destination wedding in the Caribbean, even without all the Corona stuff..

I finally got through to them. I said, after living down there from '79 - '86 and visiting 3-4 times a year since, I know what I'm talking about and personally wouldn't plan anything for this year. Between this coronavirus and hurricane season, it is just insane to even try to reschedule until next year. And I told them they need to wait til next Spring...at the earliest. I told them that the Virgin Islands is the last place one would want to risk being sick....or in a hurricane. I really didn't want to interfere but felt I had to as they were trying for August or early September. Thanks all for your help & info. I copied and pasted several of your replies in my email pleading for them to just settle down and be smart. Apparently it worked. Everyone is relieved....except the bride & groom. FYI... the groom is my stepson. My husband has heard enough about all of it...lol
