Thursday November 10 – It’s nice and sunny and hot this morning. It figures, as we’re leaving the island today.

Marc did laundry (please don’t ask), while I started to pack. We left to fill up the car rental with gas at Cadisco in Nettle Baie. $50 for eleven days was probably the least amount of gas we’ve ever used on island. A stop was made at Carrefour in Porto Cupecoy to buy turkey and salami baguette sandwiches for the flight home (a very reasonable $6.00 total).

On the way back to the condo, I saw a woman jogging on the golf course, while pushing a toddler in a stroller. Yikes! Not the brightest idea, as there were golfers playing at the time.

We arranged for late checkout and hung around the pool for a couple of hours. Lunch was leftover Chinese food. We finished packing and left the condo around 2:15. It was one of the most relaxing checkout days we’ve ever had. Our only complaint about the Airbnb stay at Royal Islander was the horrible Wi-Fi service. Other than that, it was really nice stay, for a reasonable price.

As for flights home, there was a bit of bad weather just south of Charlotte, but all went smoothly with the American Airline flights home to Charlotte and Boston. We got upgraded to First Class on the CLT – BOS flight, which is always nice. We landed around 12:15 a.m., took an Uber ride home, and were in bed by 2:05 a.m (almost 12 hours after checik out). Overall, a successful travel day,

And so ends another wonderful trip to SXM. Thank you to all of our island friends for fun memories!
