We are doing an overnight in February rather than risk a 45 minute connection. Does anyone have a hotel recommendation? We would love to stay at the airport but don’t want to spend almost $400.00. Just need something clean, near the airport with a shuttle.

We used the Embassy Suite before. Nice free manager's cocktails in evening and free buffet breakfast.

We stayed at the airport hotel in May for the convenience. It is pricey and is in serious need of updating. We have stayed there two different times. This last time, I had bug bites on both ankles and would look at another close by hotel.

Funny. We've stayed at the MIA Airport Hotel many times and never had a problem with bed bugs. They did go through a remodeling a few years back and was quite adequate for us last time we had to stay over.

We just did an overnight at the EB about a week ago. New hotel and they typically have a shuttle - though it was down during our stay. We had to take a taxi but they reimbursed us for it. Nice hotel and great showers. We did pay close to $400 but I think there were cheaper rooms.

Stayed at the Hilton Blue Lagoon near airport this past February.
Hotel had shuttle, nice pool area and was clean.
Don't think there are any bargains as far price goes as rates have gone through the roof.

We did enjoy a great Peruvian meal at Aromas del Peru which was about a $15.00 uber fare.
Great especially for ceviche and fresh fish

We’re doing an overnight stay at Homewood Suites Blue Lagoon in September. I’ll post a review then.

Never had a problem with bedbugs in Miami but we have in other hotel in the USA. The don’t discriminate against the star or no star hotels. We have fine them in the best hotels.
