There are several Facebook pages and groups that are very informative. Just search SXM, St Martin, and Sint Maarten.

I'm an information junkie too and this board was easily the most valuable resource I found when planning our first trip. That being said, you obviously have to get your fix, and I recommend the YouTube channel Traveling Island Girl. She's a local and she and her husband are small business owners on island. She has lots of really good restaurant and beach recommendations, tips, etc.

I agree with taraavo too, Traveling Island Girl is great, we've seen most of her videos and she knows her stuff.

They do, and the burgers were really good when we went. It's on the lagoon, where all the car rental places are on Airport Rd.
