Are there any entry requirements, such as a visa, to enter and leave Martinique? I am meeting a boat there and will be on the boat for about two weeks before I return to the US. Any information is appreciated.
By the way, yes, I have a passport.

If you don't have a round-trip ticket, they might want to ask about your intentions. We always had a letter from the captain stating that we would be leaving by S/V xyz.
Never had any problems.

Fletch, thanks for the link. that answered the question exactly. The other reply posts were very helpful, too.
Another question, which is prompted by some research I did. The information from Fletch's link says Martinique accepts US dollars. A Wiki travel site said you must exchange currency to Francs. Any thoughts on this? Considering the strength of the dollar right now, it would seem advantageous to buy Francs.

Not sure how long the Euro has been around but regardless, Martinique is part of the EU, so the official currency is the Euro, but you should be able to use dollars almost everywhere.

Don't plan to use US Dollars. Maybe a few tourist places MIGHT accept them but it is not normal. The Euro is the currency in Martinique and Guadeloupe.
There are ATM's around so just get your Euros from one of them and enjoy the French ambiance!
