UM this is a quote from the article:

Airport operations have remained unaffected? And the temporary arrival "facility" was anything but smooth.

Obviously, the PR people for the airport write it. Same people who work for GEBE, who always conclude their latest missive regarding some BS like a Sint Maarten wide power outage with stuff like "NV GEBE understands the inconvenience caused and appreciates the patience of its customers during this period. We assure you this was beyond our control. "

That is great news, and a long time in the making...7 years! I arrive in early January, so hopefully by then not only is it fully operational, but they also have any bugs worked out. 🎈✨
