Hello,
We are going to Simpson Bay Beach for the day. What is the best place to rent chairs for the day, preferably free or discounted with food/drinks? Also any snorkeling recommendations?
Thanks,
Judith

D's Beach Bar is a good option......if the seaweed is gone. Free chairs and $10 for an umbrella. They also have decent food.

I am pretty sure Mary's Boon still offers both a chair and an umbrella for Free if you are eating and drinking. Its the center of Simpson Bay and no sea weed problems there yet from what I have heard. Good food at fair prices.

I beg to differ about the food at D's !! We were just there back in April. We ate there almost everyday, it is so convenient to BSV unit#1 They have really stepped up there food program and the drinks were amazing too!!! Heather the manager is on site nearly everyday with Isla the owner. Both super nice!!! Ask Fabila about the different dishes we ordered!! Give it another try!!! From a food point of view, I'd definitely recommend either D's or K like Karakter. K offers free chairs and umbrella with a minimum restaurant purchase; I can't remember the amount, but we had no problem reaching the minimum with a couple of cocktails on the beach, and lunch in the restaurant. Our experience with the food and service at Mary's Boon hasn't been good, but it's been a few years since we've been there, so it may be better now.

We prefer K or Mary's Boon because of the location in the center of Simpson Bay tends to have no or less Seaweed and a better breeze than the corner of the Bay. Service at Mary Boon after Covid was slow but that had a management and staff change a couple of years ago and its as good as any of them now. Food is good at K and Mary Boon with Mary Boon being less expensive with nice menu and portions. If you are going to Mary's Boon on the weekend go early because it is always packed full by Noon. I see there is another beach bar next to Mary's Boon and K but I heard its might never open because of illegal permit issues.

Today there is not a speck of seaweed in front of Beachside Villas. Will post a picture later.
