How safe is Orient Beach now? We haven’t been there since 2017 on a cruise, looking to visit again in November on a cruise and was just wondering if it’s still safe to take a taxi and visit the beach for a few hours?

Uhhhhh, it's totally safe. I mean hundreds of people visit/rent each day. Not sure what other info you have seen that would make you think otherwise.

Yes, erb.. There is no place on earth that is totally safe, but I would think Orient Beach during the day is definitely one of the safest places on island.

You're going to be so pleasantly surprised how nice it is since Irma ripped Orient to shreds!! So many great places to eat drink and music!!! My two favorites are LaPlaya for the best sushi and Chez Leandra for the best Caribbean food!!
