We're here!

I'm sitting in unit #41 at club O, looking out over the beach and enjoying a partly cloudy morning.

The island seems less lush than last year with more than normal drying foliage and no butterly spottings on the trip from the airport to Orient. Traffic was not bad. After arrival about 2:15 we did our arrival routine, did a supply trip to Orientique and were on the beach by 5

The beach at Orient is eroding again at the south end. Waves are lapping against the bulkhead at Papagayo's and there is generally room for only two rows of chairs along the beach at Club O. The folks who have been here for a while tell us it has been eroding slowly over the last several days.

After our uneventful and largely sleepless but full red-eye from Seattle via Miami we did a brief visit to the beach, a quick dip in those warm azure waters and then crashed without dinner.

We have a well used car from Marius, picked up our phone from Sharon and checked in quickly at Club O. We were fortunate, once again, to get unit 41 right on the beach behind Papagayo's. What a wonderful way to wake up and look out on the palm trees and peaceful waters!

We found the new airport to be nice but they sure have a long walk from the ramp to Immigration...it almost seemed like they took the design from a US airport.
