GREAT time! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/pirate.gif" alt="" /> Instead of day-by-day, will just do highlights. Flew Dulles-San Juan-Beef Island, no issues at all. We were at Sunsail by 3:00, they had boat briefing set-up as soon as we arrived, 473 was perfect all week! Bobby's was flawless, right on time, and sirloins we ordered were REALLY good! Sailor's Ketch and TICO also were right on-time and what we ordered, but Caribbean Cellars was a HUGE disappointment. After no response to our order before leaving, I called on 6/15 and verified they had the order - yup, all good. When we arrived, they delivered 3 out of 7 items - when I called, the answer was, "we are out of this, that is only available in cases...." So TELL ME THAT! We filled-in from the store at Sunsail.
Stopped first day out at Prickley Pear in North Sound. Sandbox was quiet but nice - we will still go back to Leverick Bay next time. Easy sail to Anegada next day, BIG thanks to Walker for advice on getting 7' draft boat in to anchor - worked out fine. Went to Cow Wreck and met Belle and Alex. Alex taught us how to "bar fish"; works almost as good as a boat! Son Andy also plays guitar, and Alex was very nice talking music with him. Can't wait for their next CD August 2! Dinner at Potter's was fantastic.
Rented a safari from Dean Wheatley next day (thanks for the tip, Fran), and went to Flash of Beauty - WOW! Great snorkling, no people, got some bread and a key lime pie from Dotsy's, early night.
Sailed to Cane Garden Bay, had a cheeseburger at Stanley's while the wife spent money at Quito's. After a boat-dinner, went to see Quito play. Saw Manpot at the bar, but though I'd wait until the end of the 1st set to go introduce myself. Bad move, as he left before then - don't blame ya, there were a herd of drunken college kids there, and it was a pain. Maybe next trip?
Over to JVD, spent the afternoon listening to Reuben at Soggy Dollar, nice afternoon. Ran into Vinny and made reservations on the beach for dinner later. His pizzas are GREAT! Spent the next day lounging at Foxy's, Vinny was nice enough to lend our son, Andy, his kayak. Andy ran into Reuben Chinnery on the road, and asked him when he would put out a CD - "maybe someday". It was neat watching Andy at Soggy Dollar as he sat there observing a guitar artist. Reuben really made an impression on him. Thunderstorms rolled in all night, so we low-keyed it.
Headed to Cooper next day, good sail, had a fun afternoon at the bar, and a fantastic dinner later at the Beach Club. Took Monet II back the next morning, and headed to Virgin Gorda for a week. Angella at Fischer's Cove treated us like family, and we settled in for a week. Hit M&M Bakery daily for sweets and chicken. Brutus now also has rooms for rent over the bakery. They are very nice, $125 single/$150 double. Edith at Mad Dogs was as nice as always, and we killed one afternoon there, Did a fantastic dive at the Rhone with Dive BVI, Jeff & Casey set it up perfectly, and Andrew the divemaster did a great job. Then came monday......
We headed over the mountain to Leverick Bay, did some shopping, and were just laying around when I spotted a familiar sight - Saildoggy and crew were at the pool. Spent the rest of the afternoon with Tommy and Tricia, Teacherdunn and Karen. Great time, you cannot NOT have fun with these people! Mark was very nice to Andy also, all-in-all a fantastic last day on the island. Saw Doggy next day on the dock as we were ferrying over to Beef Island. As we were checking in at airport, saw another face that looked familiar - Capt Monk, who had kindly sent our No Ad sunscreen with a pallet of stuff, was also going home. Cool to get to say thanks in person. Trip hole was as painless as leaving there can be. Already started planning the next one!

Overall - still LOVE the BVI (thanks for starting it all, JD!), only almost got lost once (sailed right by Cane Garden Bay), never dragged anchor, weather was superb, great company, fast boat, most of all the people are still the nicest anywhere.
