We established in the "firsts" post that an awful lot of have been going for a long time and have many, many visits under our belts. I suspect that a lot of favorite moments may be the "firsts" but how about you?

We went with best friends the first time. They had been the previous year and he said "it made me fall back in love with my wife". He meant that in a positive and not negative way but it always stuck with me. My fav though was walking up to Kon Tiki when it was brand new and walking through to see Orient beach, practically deserted, for the first time. The only thing I can compare it to was walking out of the trees onto Makena beach in Maui in the 80's.

11 days without a cell phone, very limited television watching (if any), the kids getting away from technology and having great family times that will always be remembered.

I loved walking off the plane in 90 degrees, down the steps of the plane and into the yellow wooden building that was the terminal and waited in 100 degrees at the only luggage merry-go-round......thats when we really got the feel of being in the islands.

After many visits to the Club Orient beach, we finally decided to try staying there. We were treated to what we feel is the most relaxing place we've ever experienced. And our 1st gourmet French meal - it was at Hevea in Grand Case.

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

My son and daughter-in-law's wedding. It began with a Friday welcome reception at the Summit, ceremony on the beach at Mullet followed by a toast with Topper's Rhum. Reception at Loterie Farms couldn't have been more beautiful and to finish the weekend a fantastic buffet party at the Summit for the 40 friends and family in for the occasion. What a weekend!!!!!!

March was our first time on SXM and really our very first island getaway without our 20 year old daughter who is now away at college. Many favorites documented in photo's!

OMG that's exactly what I was going to write. We loved Boo Boo Jam. It was our first trip when knew nothing about sxm and happened to turn down the road to orient beach and Boo Boo Jam. God works in mysterious ways.

Since 1986 we were at Cupecoy Beach every day and at Boo Boo Jams every Friday, Saterday and Sunday night until it closed because of it's fire.

Now, after many years of visiting the island, my favorite thing is spending time with the friends we have made who either live on the island, or vacation there at the same time that we do. But my absolute favorite memory of the island is on our first trip, when we participated in the 12-Metre Challenge for the first time. I'll never forget my excitement when our team captain actually chose Stars and Stripes as our boat; I actually cried! And of course, we won!

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong about adding the photos?

I think your link format is wrong. I pasted the link into a browser and I get "Sorry page not found" message.
On the Picasa site, do you have different choices as to how you link to your pictures?

Hmm, I don't know. I just opened the picture and copied and pasted the url here. I'll see what I can figure out.

Edited to add: I don't see anything on Picasa about BB code or any way to link other than through Google+, but I'm fairly sure I've seen photos here that others have shared through Picasa. I have to say that posting photos here is very frustrating to me, which is why I don't ever have them in my trip reports. Obviously others don't have that same problem.

Edited again to add: I just copied and pasted the link and it went right to the photo. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I'm logged into my Picasa account. But regardless, I thought if we used the image tag that TTOL provides, that would show the photo in the post itself, and not rely on someone having to click on a link, or worse, having to copy and paste it into my browser.

That is probaby why you are seeing it, I am also getting page not found. Regardless, the link (image) needs the full url to the actual photo with the .jpg extension. What I think you are linking is the webpage when you are looking at the photo.

Above is what a Picasa web link should look like. What you do is to right click on the picture and Copy URL. Then paste that URL into TTOL via the Image Code.

Here is my picture for the link above:
