Just for reference, The passport service advertises 6 weeks for normal service and 3 weeks for expedited. Last Thursday I realized that my passport had expired. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" /> Went to the local post office and paid extra for expedited service and express mail return. Total about $200. Passport arrived this AM. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> That's 7 days total.
Allowing the time it took to get to the procesing center, the weekend an getting back to me I figure it took maybe two days total to process.
