We have cruised in a big ship (Holland America) and medium ship,Le Boreal, with Le Compagnie du Ponant. Highly recommend the latter. We vastly preferred the smaller ship. We would go even smalled and cruise on a large sail boat for the best access to the smaller islands. We would also do the ferry route out of Pireus, but we would probably book in advance.
