And it smacks of American ignorance that “speaking Spanish” would be note worthy. You are NOT in the United States. The owners wife speaks Spanish. The servers are multi-lingual. Did the OP feel that they must be aware of the conversation? Who cares what they are discussing? More napkins? The days fresh catch? Which sauce goes with which dish?
