I would really hate to see you fly into JFK OR LGA in the winter months IF you can find any more southern route that would work for your FF miles.
We came home from SXM two years ago in December in a snowstorm and it wasn't pleasant. We spent three days worrying about the projected forecast before we left SXM and then hours at the airport agonizing over it until we finally departed from PJIA and then we worried all the way home about the 'what ifs' of landing and getting back to CT in the bad weather.
