“Always great lobster thermidor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2015 NEW
Pineapple Pete's is probably one of the busiest restaurants in Simpson Bay because they serve good food at reasonable prices. Frozen mojitos were excellent and you can even order a 48ounce drink that comes in a super size glass. Mahi-mahi ceviche was thicker slices in a simple light dressing letting the freshness of the fish shine through. Crabmeat topped shrimp was a nice portion with a garlic.wine sauce. A 2 1/2 pound lobster thermidor was a respectable $52 and almost enough for two people. It is one of the house specialties and worth visiting this cheesy restaurant for. Surf & turf featured a smaller lobster thermidor paired with a perfectly cooked to order 8 ounce filet with a mild peppercorn sauce. The filet was a good as any fancy restaurant. Food and drinks were served promptly, but it was hard to tell who to order more drinks from since several servers took different orders from our table. Always a good meal when you don't want something fancy.
