Day 3, Monday
Slept late (6:30 am). My husband went for a walk up the hill towards Nail Bay (what a view from there). Cooked breakfast ourselves (where’s Steph???). Decided to hit the Baths today. The villa management came by to take care of some issues we had (fridge door on the bar was broken, ceiling fan also). They were very efficient. Finally got everyone together and headed out. There were a couple of cruise ship excursions going on so it was a bit crowded but not bad. The baths were beautiful, the current strong, the sun hot, great day! My husband and I decided to get a drink at the Top of the Baths, so we left the others snorkeling and took the trail up to the parking lot. What a hike!! It took quite some time. We ordered a drink,

thinking the others would be along much later but they arrived right after our drinks arrived. They came back thru the caves (a much faster route apparently), and after we stopped in town for a few things, we went back to the villa. They liked the snorkeling at Mahoe Bay much better than at the Baths. The management crew were just finishing up when we returned. They replaced both the fridge and the fan. Went to eat at the Flying Iquana that night. Puck was on and whipped up a fish combo dish for us. I had read that this place was not to be missed, but most of the group was disappointed. We also had met the people renting the villa next to us (Beachcomber) and they had been to Chez Bamboo and spent well over $600.00 (5 people, 3 were children) on a dinner that they said was just “ok”. We decided to have Steph cook for us a few extra nights. Now, I can’t personally give a review on Chez Bamboo, but we did not want take a chance and spend that kind of money on just “ok”. Maybe it was an “off night”, I don’t know. Anyway, after dinner we went back home.

Day 4 & 5, Tuesday and Wednesday

Half the gang went for a hike to VG Peak. The sun was out full blast for the first time since we got there and was it hot! They found a snakeskin then a few feet later found the snake it belonged to (glad I stayed home). We hung out at the villa this day and one of the managers of the property showed us some of the other villas. Wow! Caribbean Wind and Island Magic. Both have different things to offer. Island Magic has the views plus the set up is nice, but all of us loved the set up of Caribbean Wind (on the beach, 2 villas from ours, right next to Mango Bay Beach resort). With Island Magic, it is next to the road above where you would park your car, so getting to it is not bad, but if you walk to the beach (very close) the stair climbing can be a bit much. Most of us needed oxygen when we reached the top or a drink.

But that is what gives you the incredible views. By the way, I was not impressed with MBB Resort. It really seems to be run down. Just wanted to pass that on for anyone that is interested. We picked up Chef Steph at the dock (Cheers!)

and she mesmerized us with her culinary talents once more and agreed to stay an extra night (Lord be praised!). She made us veal chops that you could cut with a plastic fork and the medley of spices where superb.
Wednesday
My husband and I went for a walk on the beach early in the morning and saw a nurse shark, right at the shore! I couldn’t believe it! I also saw some silver flying fish (don’t know what they are called). We went in for breakfast and she made an egg dish that was baked in the oven and had peppers, onions, cheese, bread, and I don’t know what else, but it was great! For supper, we asked her to make filet minion again. We pretty much hung out at the villa all day, for on Thursday, we were going on a day cruise. Later…………..
