I saw somewhere that they are actually building it and they are also expecting Le Sand to locate in that area. Perhaps it was in the Daily Herald? I actually can't really figure where it's supposed to be.

By the way, it's "Roxxy Beach".

Supposed to be right next to Royal Palm. Thanks for the correct spelling. Wasn't sure how it was.

Don't see why not. There will be many other chair vendors there too. Roxxy's foot print doesn't appear to be that big. All the more reason to bus them in.

I just saw on facebook, someone said that topper is putting up units there. This may be what everyone is hearing. This person corrected someone for thinking a eating drinking type place. I see these because I belong to some sxm groups on facebook. Other wise no one can see them, its a closed message board, but if you are on facebook , you can join... Anyway who know, but yes topper putting up renting units there.

Ok the board is called simply St. Maarten, and the person said not roxys, but units that topper is putting up. I am confused.

Simply St. Maarten is a closed group board. You have to be a member to see posts.

To each their own but I do not personally see the necessity to belong to multiple groups when it comes to SXM or many other things. I belong to a couple different SXM groups and it is virtually the same people posting the same thing on each board.

Roxxy Beach is pretty big and building is ongoing.

From their FB Page:

We're very excited to announce our Grand Opening weekend of January 18-19, with a surprise lineup of talented dj's, special cocktails, and delectable plates.

Please join us in celebrating our opening.

We look forward to seeing you!

I really do not remember asking you if or how many message boards you are on!!! I am only on this one and one other. I was just reporting what I saw. If its old news??? Sorry. I had no idea topper was putting units up in that location, and perhaps the report of such is just a rumor. In any case I just thought I would put it out there. have a great day

"it is virtually the same people posting the same thing on each board."
In some cases yes. but in other cases information on one isn't on another.

So apparently they are pretty close to opening. The project does look huge to me, from the rendering in the Daily Herald.

And sasasal, Toppers has nothing to do with it. This is a beach bar, not rental units.

What I heard is Toppers rentals being build are supposed to be Condos across from Pineapple Pete. No where near Roxxy's. Le Sand supposed to be near Dive Shop on Kinsha.

Believe I heard early days that Roxxy Beach was being built by the owner of Le Sand. Don't take that to the bank!

Sounds like more traffic, potential congestion and possible chaos to me.

I posted the correct information direct from their FB page above.

Another reason not to belong to those groups.

You are living on Island. Sooo!! You know first hand whats going on for the most part. Otherwise we all get some rumors that are not true.. You are the only people that can give the real info on whats happening in Sxm. Anyone that is not there full time can only ask and get probably false info... Not sure, but you are the only ones that have and get firsthand info. By the way, the person that said toppers was going to build on kinsha admitted to being wrong. We look to people that reside on Island for the facts.

Reporting what you see on other boards or facebook pages is not always accurate. Best to do a little research first to verify before. Not everything posted here has turned out to be 100% accurate, especially after Irma.

You really need to lighten up some.

Meeeeeeeee???? You again jumped down my throat for a message. I suppose no one here ever reports a false message? I will if you will. You people rely on what others tell you, and sure there has been mishaps, in fact I know there have been. If you ask others for reports or whats going on, you will get some that are not correct, and everyone here asks.

Le Sand Restaurant does not own that land , that's owned by someone from the Dutch side.

I welcome an upscale beach restaurant on Kimsha Beach with a French Flare. I enjoyed Dreams, Palm Beach and Kokomos which were all upscale beach restaurants.
I understand Roxxy will be closer to the bridge past Ocean Dive Shop.

Right next door to Royal Palm on the east side. Can't get much closer to the bridge than that.

Agree...from the picture on Facebook it does look quite large.

We will be at SBR 1/13-27 so I guess we can check it out first hand

Here is a shareable plan pic on their page:

I believe there is a parking lot there now...in front of the old Lee's location. If they are building in front of that area then a parking lot is believable.
