We flew out of STT Monday and returned Friday. For those that don't know, we live in Coral Bay. The Crown Bay ferry left on time and was well run. We had lunch at Tickles and called the St. Thomas Taxi Association for a taxi - ‭(340) 774-7457. We arrive at the airport with carryon only, Global Entry, and TSA Pre-check. The Global Entry line is now to the left with the crew line. It took 5 minutes to get through as wheel chairs were taken ahead of us. We were second in the TSA Precheck lane. We were through the security line in less than 15 minutes. Passengers checking bags, without Global Entry, and without TSA Precheck were taking a bit over an hour. The corral was very full, no social distancing, and finding two seats together was difficult. We waited about 90 minutes before we boarded. There were about twenty people who arrive late, but made the plan, due to their late arrival at the airport.

Returning we had printed out negative COVID test results and our portal Green QR code. People have complained that the portal is difficult. I am a computer user and found it trivial. My lover Sweet Christine tried on her phone and gave up. She entered her portal data a day later than me on her computer and received her green QR code quicker than I did. We are fully vaccinated, but chose not to get antigen tests. I am traveling again in May, but after that we are taking the boat to Grenada for hurricane season.

On arrival we got off the plane, one of many the had just landed, and got into a long line. Airlift continues to be added and two AA planes landed at the same time. It moved very quickly as they had ten scan stations manned by US National Guard Army enlisted. People with printouts and those with QR codes on phones were in the same lines. The line moved very quickly and they processed our full plane in less than 15 minutes. They have perfected the airport COVID checkpoint. There were a couple of requests for wheelchairs due to the line; if you have someone who has difficulty standing you should arrange for a wheelchair.

What worked for us / pro tips - weekday travel, no carryon, Global Entry, TSA Precheck.

Cheers, RickG
