With the current forecast CGB would be a perfect place to spend Thursday! NWS shows no swell but wind guru shows a slight NE swell that will be zero issue on a cat. If you are on a monohull tuck up in the East side.
THURSDAY East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 8 feet. Dominant period 10 seconds. Isolated showers.
THURSDAY NIGHT East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 8 feet. Dominant period 8 seconds. Isolated showers.
FRIDAY East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 8 feet. Dominant period 10 seconds. Scattered showers.
SATURDAY Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet. Dominant period 10 seconds. Scattered showers.

We have been "back winded" several times at Cooper and of course, a mooring is a must as the holding is poor in grass-covered hard sand.

We have been "back winded" several times at Cooper and of course, a mooring is a must as the holding is poor in grass-covered hard sand. I don't think they want anyone anchoring inside the mooring field anyway....to protect the sea grass turtle habitat. Outside the mooring field is pretty deep. Most boats don't have enough chain to anchor out. Boaty Ball is probably the best option for Manchioneel Bay. There are some first-come balls there but they get taken early in the day.
