The government is getting pretty good at this. We sent in our renewal form, and old passports, on January 10th and we received our new ones today, without any special handling. Good for another 10 years coming to SXM.

We got ours back in just around two weeks also, so it does seem to be working well these days.

I became a US Citizen just before Xmas. 1st week of January, I sent my US passport application along with my Certificate of Naturalization and I paid an extra $60 to expedite the process. I received my US passport in 10 days. I couldn't believe how fast it went. Very impressive.
