I won't make this too long but wanted to share some info. First off the weather was fine. I saw weather reports otherwise and was concerned. Upon our arrival to SXM we rented a car from Dollar and were very happy. Prompt service and the car was just fine. Nothing fancy but served our purpose. We rented the car for $110 US for the week and thought that was more than fair. We stayed at the Palm Court on Orient and loved it. Very small and quaint. The staff is wonderful and they will take care of whatever you need. Room was clean and the bed not too hard. The only downside is if you are planning on cooking in there isn't a lot of dishes, pans, etc. It made no difference to us at all but others might be bothered by that if they are planning on cooking in. We rented a cell phone from Craig/Bob from packlightswm(I think that's the correct site) and it worked very well. We spent most of our days on Orient and once again Pappagyo wins the prize for worst service. I have no idea why they can't seem to pull it together. Bikini Beach was great on Orient as well as a variety of restaurants in Grand Case. We especially like the Le Pub for pizza in Grand Case. The little market close to the Palm Court has the best pasties I have ever had! They opened at 7 and it was nice to take a walk in the morning for fresh bread and pastries. We did do a day trip with some friends to St. Barths. We flew WinAir for $63 round trip per person, what a great time. The flight is 12 minutes. We rented a car in St. Barths and did some sightseeing. It's a great way to see another island, but we were shocked at how expensive everything was there! That pretty much wraps it up, as I am typing I am wishing I was there now!! Anyone who reads this while in SXM have a cold Carib for me!
