Well just typing day 6 is making me sad. Day 7 is go back to reality day. Where did the time go? Went way too fast. Just this one day left. Our flight leaves fairly early tomorrow. I think it’s 10 something.

Day 6: Had planned on venturing to Philipsburg to hit the Rima store. We are not big shoppers, so we were planning to get in early and then beat it out of there over to Orient. It was good that there was only one ship in town. We made our way over to Philipsburg and we knew where we were trying to go, but I didn’t see one sign that said “Pondfill Rd.”. I knew it was on the beach side of the pond, so we just kept driving along until we saw the big flags on top of the building. Once inside Rima, we basically did one stop shopping…..grandparents, babysitter, SIL, kids, etc. About $125 later and we were good to go. We ended up getting a few things for ourselves, just mostly gifts.

We headed towards Orient and I thought I remembered how to go without looking at a map, but I guess I was wrong. We ended up on the scenic route through Oyster Pond. No problem though. We were not in any type of hurry. Not like you need to really spend 5 hours in the sun at Orient.

We finally arrived, saw some friends, got chairs and settled in. Then it was the happy hour bell….time for a few frozen blue lagoons! We started getting hungry and headed to Baywatch for some lunch. When I heard about the Mussels, I just had to have them. Even though I had Mussels at some point on the 2 previous days. I was glad I did. Those were the best Mussels I have ever had. Actually, it is the sauce that makes them. A little spicy, garlic-y and just the right tomato sauce. It was also fantastic when sopped up with the bread that came with it. I had to ask for more bread! I couldn’t give up that pile of sauce that was left after I inhaled all the Mussels. My hubby had the ribs, which were very good also. We had 2 frozen drinks each, our 2 lunches and the bill was $50. I think both of our entrees were $14 and the rest was drinks. Not a cheap lunch, but very good.

We stopped on the way back and took the required photos at the club o sign. That was fun. Then we just decided we had enough sun and wanted to head back to the house. We got back, swam, had a few beers and were not motivated to do much. We ended up going down the hill to Nettle Bay and getting a take out Pizza from Drive in Pizza. They are only open at night. It was a very good veggie pizza with peppers, artichokes, olives, mushrooms, etc. We had 2 Caribs while we waited and were out of there for $20.

So it was a fairly quiet day. Well our time is almost up. Just this last full day. Of course the “try to do list” has barely been scratched! But it’s all ok with me. I have had a fantastic time on this trip. Lots of great people, good food and lots of well needed relaxation and couple bonding time.

So today it is off to the Market in the morning. A bottle or two of Ma do do and I was going to see if anyone had any type of prints they were selling. Then back to Orient to say goodbye and maybe Tabby Khady for dinner. I would love to try it, just don’t know if we are really going to feel like going all the way back over again. We’ll see….

More to come……….
